One element that does carry over from the previous game is that Harry, Ron, and Hermione are all playable, although you're obviously stuck as Harry for the Triwizard levels and the climactic battle with Lord Voldemort. In fact, you select the level you want to play from a menu themed around Dumbledore's Pensieve, eliminating any possibility of exploring Hogwarts. The Wide-Open Sandbox approach is dropped as well.
The characters and environments more closely emulate the look of the films, dropping the somewhat cartoony look of the earlier games. This game makes a number of significant departures from the previous games. Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire is a 2005 Harry Potter video game released by Electronic Arts to coincide with the release of the film by the same name.
